With Catalina Insignares, Julie Laporte, Myriam Lefkowitz and the lodgers and employees of the Emergency Shelter for Migrant Families in Paris-Ivry
At la briqueterie, 17 rue Robert Degert 94407 Vitry-sur-Seine
The facultad is a place of exercise of sensory faculties in standby in each that it is a question of listening, studying, amplifying, with several, by proximities. This «practice cabinet» designed by choreographic artists Catalina Insignares, Myriam Lefkowitz and Julie Laporte was shared with people in situations of migration and exile and those who accompany them to the CHUM of Paris-Ivry EMMAÜS Solidarité. It combines somatic, choreographic and energetic practices, sometimes influenced by tarot reading, hypnosis and telepathy – all of which are used to experiment with other forms of relationships with oneself, others and our social environment.
A question animates all of these practices: how to link what may seem separate, bring together what may seem distant. the facultad is a place of study of what these distant relationships can be, whether they are geographical, emotional, temporal, they are between life and death, dream and reality…
Animated by this question, these three days of workshops will be the place of meetings between those who have exercised these faculties as part of the permanence of the facultad at the CHUM since October 2021 and those who wish to join us on one, two or three days.
In 4 hours, in groups of 2, 3, 10 or 20, we will go through touch and play practices with gravity where our bodies will be lifted, carried, kneaded… by others. A time together, where, through our bodies and the sensations and images they can produce, we will share different ways to connect.
Accompanied by Bétonsalon, the facultad is hosted by the socio-cultural team of the CHUM of Paris-Ivry EMMAÜS Solidarité as part of the 2021-2022 season and made public with the support of the brickyard, Centre de Développement Chorégraphique National du Val-de-Marne.
