Intergenerational workshop, from 6 years to infinity
Jagna Ciuchta uses very different materials and techniques, and invites other artists into the exhibition without ever losing her train of thought. The proposal for this workshop is to create sculptures from objects gleaned from home, words and motifs found in the exhibition space. The thread and the image (or word) that it will form becomes what brings together and links these disparate elements to give them meaning and unity. The emphasis will be on participants sharing their techniques with each other, exchanging materials and inviting others to incorporate a part of their work into their own.
Participants are asked to bring in materials from their everyday lives: an old item of clothing or a piece of fabric, a clean cardboard wrapping, an image (photo, postcard, magazine) that can be cut up and assembled. Other materials will be suggested during the workshop.
