Meditations on the Bièvre with Yoann Dumel-Vaillot.
Pauline Perplexe, 90 rue de la Convention, 93400 Arcueil.
This day-long event invites you to take a sensory and virtual approach to the river, through meditation experiences. Presentations and discussions alternate with guided practices, using methods borrowed from yoga-nîdra and hatha-yoga. In this way, different aspects of whitewater symbolism are explored, as well as the singular history of the Bièvre.
Aunque es de noche is taken from a mystical poem by Saint John of the Cross, composed in captivity in a narrow, dark dungeon in Toledo. The poem speaks of a hidden source of living water, luminous, discovered from within, and celebrated despite the night.

Yoann Dumel-Vaillot
Yoann Dumel-Vaillot holds a doctorate in philosophy. His research focuses on the mythopoetic dimension of Rabelais’ literary creation. He also teaches meditation and leads guided relaxation sessions. His collaboration with Pauline Perplexe’s artist members, around the Bièvre River, began two years ago, for the 2020 cultural summer. This intervention in Eaux courantes proposes a transversal and imaginary approach to the river.
