Magic lantern workshop, for children aged 6 and over, guided by the Braquage collective
The lights go out, a luminous ray appears… and the magic begins! Join us to discover the first projector in History: the magic lantern. Like the first projectionists, you will need a glass plate, to which you will combine coloured inks, multiple tints and light reflections. Dazzling star constellations, dizzying black holes and celestial adventures, take inspiration from the universe of Klonaris/Thomadaki to create a picture! Who knows? Maybe you will meet an extraordinary character on the way?

Creative workshop on filmstrip, for adults, guided by the Braquage collective
Painting, scratching, or even gluing on film… Klonaris/Thomadaki use a wide range of techniques to shape, warp and transform the images they film of one another. By drawing inspiration from the enchanting masks and make-ups, the glittering jewellery and the star-studded skins they show in their films, let’s explore together these metamorphoses on 16mm filmstrip. Are you rather Narcissus turned into a bucolic white flower or Calisto transformed into the Great Bear constellation?
Created in 2000, the Braquage collective is an association which aims to encourage the discovery of cinema by organizing screenings, festivals, talks, initiation workshops and exhibitions. The association promotes and diffuses a singular kind of cinema, in which hand-crafted practice and plastic arts are brought together. Always with a film projector in hand, the members of Braquage showcase the unique practices and machines that led to the birth and creativity of cinema.

Orlando
Collage workshop, for families, from age 4, guided by Bétonsalon’s team
Who has never dreamt of becoming a supernatural and magical being? Come with a picture of yourself, because the transformation will happen today! Using photographic and coloured materials, cut, glue and arrange an imaginary self-portrait. With homemade photographic retouches or mosaic-like combinations, play with appearances and dream of new identities. Inspired by the poetic worlds of Klonaris/Thomadaki, evil angels, kind ghosts, mischievous sphynxes or overpowered gorgons might appear…
